NATE TAO is a widely recognized singer and performer, having been described as “displaying perfect vocal technique and tone” and possessing an “excellent singing voice." Originally from Northern Virginia, Nate is a first-generation Asian American born to deaf parents. His unique upbringing and deep passion for music have allowed him to become a truly versatile performer and a dynamic presence on stage.
In 2010, Nate graduated from Ithaca College where he received a BA in music. While at Ithaca, he trained in classical voice while simultaneously honing his abilities as a pop artist, performing with the campus all-male a cappella group, Ithacappella. Nate also expanded on his contemporary vocal technique as a member of the Hyannis Sound, Cape Cod's all-male a cappella group.
He has had the honor of singing solo twice at Lincoln Center in New York City, where he was awarded "Best Soloist" at the final round of the 2008 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) competition. In addition to countless stage performances, he has also sung the national anthem at Fenway Park and just released his debut EP, Lost In The Music.
